CASH4GOLD.COM FINDS STOLEN PITTSBURGH STEELERS AFC CHAMPIONSHIP RING

Unconventional Super Bowl® Advertiser Reunites Ring with Former NFLer Brenden Stai

March 9, 2009 – Pompano Beach, FL – Cash4Gold.com, America’s #1 gold buyer direct from the general public, recently won over football fans with their entertaining Super Bowl ad starring celebrities Ed McMahon and MC Hammer. Now the company has another fan in the form of former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman and AFC champion, Brenden Stai.

Cash 4 Gold.com processes millions of pieces of jewelry every week as they pay customers for their unwanted jewelry and scrap gold. Occasionally, an unusual item prompts even closer review by their highly trained screeners and processors. This is what happened recently when a distinctive and large gold ring came into the Cash4Gold.com system.

Upon further examination and research, the item was determined to be a 1995 AFC Championship ring. When the company checked with local Florida law enforcement, they learned that the ring had belonged to former Pittsburgh Steeler Brenden Stai, who earned the ring in his rookie year, and who had reported the ring stolen in 2000. When law enforcement told Stai that Cash4Gold.com was returning the ring to him, the former NFL lineman was thrilled to get the prized memento back.

“I couldn’t believe it when I got the call. Cash4Gold took a lot of extra steps to track me down and get me my ring back and I can’t thank them enough for doing it,” said Stai.

“We want Cash4Gold customers to have faith in the safety and security of our company, so we’ve invested in elaborate measures that flag suspicious items for our internal review. Returning Brenden’s ring is an honor, and it’s also proof that our system works,” said Cash4Gold Founder and CEO Jeff Aronson. “This is a great story with a happy ending.”

According to Stai, the ring disappeared in 2000 during a move when he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In the confusion of the move it was months before he realized that the ring was missing and not just misplaced. Until he heard recently from Ft. Lauderdale law enforcement officials, he had long since given up hope of getting the ring back.

Prior to his NFL career, Stai was a National Champion and All-American offensive lineman at the University of Nebraska in the early 1990’s. He earned the ring when his team beat the Indianapolis Colts 20-16 on January 14, 1996 to earn a trip to Super Bowl XXX. Stai retired from the NFL in 2002 after eight seasons and is currently a successful businessman living in Nebraska.
